How we clean your carpets and rugs

When you call us to pickup your carpets, we send our pickup team to your home to collect your carpets.  When your carpets arrive at our factory, we carefully label the carpets.

 

Before we start cleaning your carpets, we carefully inspect your carpets to know the fabric type and whether there are any stains in your carpet.

 

The first thing we do with your carpet is to thoroughly vacuum the carpets.  After vacuuming, we work to remove all stains.  Stains that have not set can be removed using our special stain removal chemicals.  Keeping your carpets too long without removing stains can have the stains set which then become almost impossible to remove without damaging them.

 

Once the stains have been removed, in our washing chamber, we use the right cleaning chemicals for the fabric type and use the appropriate pads and brushes to gently wash your carpets. The carpet is inspected several times during this process to ensure that your carpet is completely cleaned.  Subsequently your carpet is rinsed and placed in our drying chamber to dry.

 

Once again, we fully inspect the dried carpet and certify it as ready to be returned to your home.  We them return the carpet to your house if your chose a pickup and delivery service.

 

This whole process can take about 72hrs from receipt of the carpet to when the carpets are returned to you in a thoroughly cleaned and dry state.

 

How often should you clean your carpets and rugs

Carpets or area rugs must be cleaned at least once a week and deep cleaned every 6-12 months especially if you have kids at home. So how do you maintain carpets at home?

Do a routine carpet clean

 

This type of cleaning is done when your carpet is not too dirty visibly. It is your regular house cleaning routine.

• Get rid of dust, particles and dirt by using a carpet sweeper or a broom to take them out. The best alternative would be a vacuum cleaner if you have one but the aforementioned is fine too. Get your area rugs outside and shake the dust and other particles out with your carpet sweeper.
• Quickly take out spots and stains immediately. Use a plastic scraper to lift the solids up and away from the fibers. Do not rub or wipe until as much of the solids have been removed because that will only push the stain deeper in the carpet. You can also use a knife to scrap off stuck food particles or mud stains and sweep again. Routine carpet cleaning however does not guarantee you of the best and safest protection from germs especially when you have toddlers at home.

 

Do a deep clean on your Carpet

This type of service often requires equipment and techniques that are often found in a specialist carpet cleaner.  It is therefore best to consult your carpet cleaning specialist to assist you with the work.  At worst once a year, you must deep clean your carpets however cleaning them every six months will keep them in their best condition for longer.

 

Tips to Keep Carpet Clean Longer

• Place doormats or welcome mat in front of all entrance doors to trap soil.
• Remove shoes at the door to prevent carrying in dirt.
• Vacuum at least once every week.
• Treat stains immediately.
